During the week, we were visited by many interesting guests, including representatives of companies in the Łódź region, students and employees from partner universities as well as employees and students of Łódź University of Technology. We have had the pleasure of participating in meetings, workshops and lectures given by companies such as Dell, Accenture, BSH, Infosys, Gleeds, Pöyry and Clariant. 

The invited guests presented their companies' activities, focusing on job requirements and the recruitment process, and on employment opportunities for graduates of specific departments and fields of study. Great emphasis was placed on the need for foreign languages. We are pleased that so many students attended the meetings and were able to hear in person about the importance of languages and mobility in the modern world of work.
Cultural meetings, talks, games, as well as workshops conducted by guests from France, Portugal, Belarus, Turkey or distant China, Taiwan and Indonesia, give insight into different customs and traditions around the world, as well as possibilities for studying abroad. All the guests share the same goal – to make students aware that knowledge of foreign languages allows for the development and acquisition of knowledge and valuable experience, not only at Łódź University of Technology, but also at our partner universities.

At the workshops, meetings were also held with the ERASMUS + program coordinator from PŁ, a representative of the IAESTE program (a program for foreign student internships) and representatives of the Work and Travel program. Students were familiarized with the possibilities offered by these programs. In addition, Mr. Adam Rogalski, a two-time participant in the Work and Travel program, shared with the audience beautiful photos of his travels around the US, as well as invaluable advice for those who might wish to follow in his footsteps.
