The Language Centre at Lodz University of Technology offers a free Polish language course for foreign students studying at TUL full-time or as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
POLISH LANGUAGE FOR FOREIGN FULL-TIME STUDENTS
Full-time students complete the compulsory language course: Język polski A0_A1 (2 semesters x 60 hours and 1 semester x 30 hours). Classes take place twice a week and start in the first week of the semester. Foreign students studying full-time who have a certificate confirming their knowledge of Polish at a level of at least B1 may be exempted from attending a Polish course on that basis.
POLISH FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS
Erasmus students can attend the following Polish language courses:
- Basic Polish A1 (beginners): classes for students who begin learning Polish from scratch. They start in the second week of the semester, take place 2 x hours a week.
- Basic Polish A1 (intermediate): classes for students who continue learning Polish after September Survival Polish or Basic Polish A1. They start in the second week of the semester; the course takes place 2 x 2 hours a week or in a 4-hour block once a week.
- Polish Language & Culture: classes designed for EPS students, teaching elements of Polish with knowledge of Poland and Polish culture. It takes place in a 3-hour block once a week at a date adjusted to the schedule of classes for the EPS program in a given semester.
