The Language Centre has its own library with a wide selection of works available for students and staff. These include textbooks, scripts, dictionaries, magazines, newspapers as well as materials for teaching foreign languages. The library also holds fiction books in different languages. The collections are regularly revised and updated, which means that the library can provide its users with the latest book releases in the fields of education and popular science. Students can borrow books and textbooks on-site or can borrow fiction books for 1 month.

Library Rules and Regulations
Please read the Rules and Regulations concerning the library and the reading room.
Rules on using the library collection:
- The Rules and Regulations are reviewed regularly.
- Documents needed for borrowing books:
- Library Card issued by the main Library of Lodz University of Technology
- Electronic staff ID, electronic student ID or electronic PhD student ID
- Basic rules of using the facility:
- No coats, suitcases, bags, etc. These can be left in the cloakroom.
- Silence should be observed at all times in the reading room so that other library users can work uninterrupted. Mobile phones are not permitted.
- Instructions given by the library staff should be followed; any damage caused to the books or other resources should be reported.
- Food and drink are not allowed in the Library.
- The Library is not liable for any items left unattended.
- The library collection should be used in line with the Copyright Act of 4th February 1994 (with subsequent amendments).
- Failure to follow the Rules and Regulations may result in loss of the right to use the facility temporarily or permanently.

- Fiction books - maximum of 2 books for 30 days with the possibility of one renewal
- Textbooks - maximum of 30 textbooks for 60 days with the possibility of four renewals
- Other Lodz University of Technology staff
- Fiction books - maximum of 2 books for 30 days without the possibility of renewal
- Textbooks - maximum of 3 textbooks for 1 day without the possibility of renewal
- Retired staff of the Language Centre
- Fiction books - maximum of 2 books for 30 days with the possibility of one renewal
- Textbooks - maximum of 3 textbooks for 1 day without the possibility of renewal
- PhD students of Lodz University of Technology
- Fiction books - maximum of 2 books for 30 days without the possibility of renewal
- Textbooks - maximum of 3 textbooks for 1 day without the possibility of renewal
- Students of Lodz University of Technology

- Library users can borrow one copy of any given book.
- Library users are required to check their library accounts.
- Library fines for late returns of books or CDs:
- Fine for the first day of a late return is 1 zl per item
- Fine for the second day and any consecutive days is 0.05 zl
- The maximum fine for a late return is 50 zl per item
- Under certain circumstances, the Director of Studies / Head of the Language Centre can reduce the fine for a late return upon written request by the borrower.
- Fines for lost or damaged books or CDs:
- Three times the inventory value of the book / CD (minimum 50 zl)
- Library staff have the right to request that the library user purchase a different book / CD (for an amount equal to the owed fine)
- It is possible to return a new copy of the lost or damaged book/CD
- If the library user persistently refuses to return borrowed items and pay due fines, the library has the right to enforce its claims in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code and Code of Offences.
Rules on using the reading room
- Silence must be observed at all times
- Library users are requested to leave their library cards with the staff while using the reading room
- Use of library computers may be time-restricted.
