ACERT - Academic Language CERTificate
ACERT is a nationwide academic certificate that certifies proficiency in both general and specialist foreign languages. Since 2014, university students in Poland have been able to take a foreign language exam, which is certified in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The exam allows students to determine their language proficiency at various levels: B2 and C1 in English and B2 in German. As the ACERT exam contains elements of specialised language, it is aimed at students in the final module of their language course who have a high level of language competence.
The ACERT certificate is issued by universities affiliated with the Association of Academic Foreign Language Teaching Centres SERMO. The high quality of the exam is guaranteed by procedures developed by experts from individual academic centres.
The ACERT certificate is a valuable alternative to external examinations. For TUL students, the ACERT examination is free of charge; however, an administrative fee of PLN 30 is applicable for issuing the certificate. This fee applies only to students interested in obtaining a paper ACERT certificate. To obtain an ACERT certificate, you must submit a written application for the certificate and pay the administrative fee.
