EAQUALS Excellence in Language
Eaquals accreditation is a valuable distinction for our unit.
In November 2021, the Language Centre at the Lodz University of Tehcnology underwent a re-inspection and met the high standards required to regain Eaquals accreditation. The visiting inspectors evaluated the teaching programs, testing and evaluation methods, and educational resources, as well as the organization of language classes, confirming the high quality of the Language Centre's services.
The inspectors awarded our unit a distinction in management, administration, and student services, noting the high level of support offered to students with special educational needs. They also rated the teaching environment and academic resources available to the Centre, which it uses both in teaching students and supporting the continuous professional development of teaching staff, as excellent.
To date, EAQUALS accreditation has been awarded to only two Polish universities, and the Lodz University of Technology is the first technical university in the country whose Language Center has been recognized in this way. Thanks to this, our unit has joined the group of institutions that meet high standards of foreign language teaching.
The main objective of the EAQUALS Association is to promote high standards of language education. The institution cooperates with the European Commission as a consultant on education-related matters, as well as with numerous other entities that set standards for foreign language teaching.
